1st printing thus of a circa 1917 (WW I) catalogue printed in tall (4 1/4" x 10") pictorial, cord-tied wraps. 24pp. Illus. Index. The cover illustration shows a uniformed soldier beside a horse holding a guidon with "Standard of Excellence" on the flag. This vintage catalogue shows a number of military uniforms and accessories, including medals, and also other equipment such as camp furniture. A number of items are over-stamped "discontinued" and "price revised." There are several pink printed slips affixed at one end to various pages showing changes to certain products. One insignia metal was cut out leaving a 1 1/6" x 1 1/2" gap on the edge of one leaf. Very, very scarce.
