(typed letter signed) form Wentworth to Winther (who was Assoc. Dean of the Graduate School at IU) on Wentworth letterhead (address Chesterton, Indiana). Wentworth expresses his gratitude for receiving Winther's book and in exchange sent him his book on sheep. It's a full letter with other book news in it. Wentworth references another book, Pigs from Cave to Corn Belt and says of himself, "I am not much good except on the livestock industry." "Livestock Bureau" is ink-stamped tat top corner of ffep. Nice content. Vg copy in good, nearly complete dj (several edge chips). Basically this is a scholarly and readable history of the sheep industry in America from Cortez onward; much on the missions and SW Indians.Very desirable association copy.
