Unknown early printing. Gilt-stamped leather over boards. (Hardbound.) Marbled endpapers. Various paginations as this is a bound copy of nine (9) booklets published by the Interior Dept. Illustrated abundantly with b/w photos. Lane, who wrote the Introduction, served as department head 1913-20. Mather was Ass't to the Secretary. We are not sure, but this copy may have had a title page to the whole group. If so, it is missing. A search of various copies for sale on the Internet with various publishing information, including dates, makes it difficult to assign this copy a proper edition. Still, an early copy. Binding is tight, extremities with wear. A few pages have some reddish stain. A good, sound copy nonetheless.
