Text opens with the author writing: "In June, 1885, I decided to undertake a trip through the Rocky Mountains, with my wife and eldest daughter, a young lady of seventeen . . . If I had been going to Africa instead of to the Yellowstone, I could scarcely have had more trouble in obtaining reliable information..." Having browsed this copy and read a page here and there, I can report it is a delightful and informative book. Light wear to extremities. A vg+ copy. Strangely not in Howes.
