Presentation inscription inside the front cover written & signed by Laurence's wife, Jeanne, to M____ R______ and dated Sept. 27, 1962 (year of publication). Laurence's paintings of Alaska are a wonderful blend of the dreamy and the real, mainly of mountain and marine subjects. This copy in vg condition with the exception that there is a nearly 1" x 1/2" splash stain on the lower left corner of the front cover, and some small specks. Whereas there are just a few copies signed by the author (this one is not), inscriptions by Jeanne Lawrence are very scarce.
