Summerland: N. L. Barlee, 1970. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Very Good. Item #2105008
1st printing. 6.5" x 8.5" quarto pictorial wraps. 100pp. Wonderfully illustrated with maps and drawings by the author. Barlee, a schoolteacher and later MP, and also producer of a ghost town series on CBC, was author and publisher of Canada West, which was a series of self-published magazines mainly on mining camps in British Columbia. Barlee visited and researched all these camps. His drawings are in a wonderful, homespun, but very attractive style Western history fans drool over. Barlee produced this title in a gray cover and an orange-yellow cover. The contents are identical, and we have no reason to believe one has precedence over the other. Your bookseller corresponded with Barlee around this time. Scarce. Vg/.
