Small 8vo red cloth with colorful, nearly full size cover illustration showing an indigenous, almost American Indian-like man in colorful clothing (bare from waist up) & feather headdress, looking through the woods at a wild llama. 90pp. Four color plates inside including frontispiece. The ffep has been clipped along the fore edge, but in such a way we wonder if it was done at the bindery. Originally published in German. Very scarce in the original editions.
