Marbled endpapers. There are occasional ink comments that could be contemporary with the book. One such is on the title, where the owner adds three words at an angle above "MEXICAN" "___ ___ good" Several little notes in the same hand are on the Contents page. The hinges of this copy have been professionally repaired & the book is tight. There is general light to moderate foxing throughout and several preliminary pages have stain. Scarce now in the first edition.
