Couple of small stains to front cover. Rebound using original front cover & replaced back cover. General foxing with some pps with a minimum & other pps with more. Pages are flexible & the book can easily be read. The original cover states the original price as 25 cents. Continuation of the subtitle reads, in small block print, "WHO WAS CAPTURED BY THE MEXICANS, AT MEIR, DECEMBER 25,1842, AND RELEASED FROM PEROTE MAY 16, 1844." A rare & desirable Texas & Mexican book. Copies of the cloth edition naturally appear more often on the market than the paper bound edition. Jenkins, BTB, says, "The was the first book to appear on the Meir Expedition; it is still one of the best.
