"Of all the Indian fighters, army scouts, and frontiersmen produced by the old West of three-quarters of a century ago, none were better known in their day than Moses E. Milner, famous from the Missouri to the Pacific as "California Joe." The number of famous frontiersmen & army notables he actually knew is amazing. Trace of wear to extremities.
