Not a book. Two original T.L.S. (typed letter signed) on governor's letterhead from Kansas Governor Landon to Edwin Swergal. The first on 9/9/36 was to Swergal at the Fort Dearborn Hotel in Chicago & the second on 10/17/36 when Swegal was at the Nicollet Hotel in Minneapolis. Contents are brief comments of appreciation re Landon's campaign against FDR. On the back of the Sept letter, Swergal in 1960 typed his own comments from the Frye Hotel in Seattle, noting that his (Swergal's) mother was born in West Middlesex PA, as was Landon. There is an additional note on separate paper slip typed the same day. Swergal had written a column or article for the Seattle P-I on Kruschev. Near fine condition, gently folded.
