1st thus, ltd to 750 copies, this being #74. Frontispiece of Hedges in 1910. Index. Endpaper maps. Notes & References. Appendix. The author crossed the plains to Colorado in 1860 to prospect for minerals. 1" wide strip along bottom of covers shows minor dampstaining with virtually no loss of color. Faint watermark at bottom of first few leaves. These would only be a problem if the buyer needs a nearly perfect copy. Upper front cover corner ever so slightly bumped. This copy in the quite scarce original dj. It is in fine condition, plastic protected. The plain panels have no imprint, but the backstrip is printed with the title & publisher's brand. Scarce & desirable. Mattes 1776.
