Signed by the daughter of Marshal Heck Thomas, Beth Thomas Meeks, & also by the collaborator, Bonnie Speer. As it turned out, due to the failing health of Ms. Meeks, she only signed around 25 copies of this edition. This would be considered the 2nd state of this book, the original being published in wrappers. Illustrations include full-page photos of Bill Tilghman & Chris Madsen, the other two of the so-called "Three Guardsmen" of Oklahoma. An enjoyable and important memoir of Meek's father, the famed Oklahoma lawman & Deputy U.S. Marshal. Fine, like new condition. Very, very scarce.
