Size 13 ¾" x 19 ¾". Often reproduced in the next few decades, this may be an early if not the first issue. The paper is obviously brittle with edge chips, a long tear (archivally repaired without sophistication on the back side) and has stains. Nevertheless, the design and remarkable lettering typical from this period makes this project of archival matting and framing one that will have a pleasing result. Gies was one of the high profile producers of chromolithography in the nineteenth century. Cannot be shipped media rate. Will be shipped flat and protectively at cost to buyer.
