Rebanks' first book on sustainable animal husbandry is set on his family's sheep farm in the beautiful Lake District of England. It is also a coming-of-age book tracing his growth as a sheep-raiser's son used to a lot of demanding work to an appreciation for that way of life to and advocate of intelligent decision-making with regard to land use in England. His second book, English Pastoral, just published, in combination with The Shepherd's Life, has really Rebanks on the map. This is a fine, as new copy in fine, as new dj.
