DO ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN OF AMERICA REALLY EXIST? (exceptional copy)

Yakima: Franklin Press, 1966. Heinzen, Steve (Edit.). First Edition Later Printing. Soft cover. Near Fine. Item #SHEL1401b

First Edition stated, but bibliographically BAADE COPY 3 according to your bookseller's bibliography (ROGER PATTERSON'S SNOWMAN BOOK) of the Patterson book which had several stated first editions. Pictorial wraps. 169pp. Illustrated with maps and drawings by the author & others, & several photos. The Patterson book is a seminal book, the first published book entirely devoted to Bigfoot or sasquatch in North America. Ivan Sanderson's 1961 book predates it & includes N. A. material, but was global in scope. The publication of Patterson's book was a watershed publication which helped usher in the era of modern research on the subject/creature/primate. The first edition predated the Patterson-Gimlin film footage by a year. This copy is in remarkably attractive condition. Most copies offered on the Internet are not nearly in this good a condition. Quite minor wear, hardly noticeable, at the extremities, so we grade this book "near fine."
