TESTED TELEGRAMS: and How to Write Them

NY: Prentice-Hall, 1941. First Edition. Hardcover. Collectible Very Good / Good. Item #5026032

1st printing. Yellow and red pictorial cloth. 150pp. Signed by Wheeler (not to anyone) on ffep. Really quite a practical and pithy book by an expert on language and public speaking. Some of the advice and rules he gave for telegram writing would apply to the digital/texting/email age! One quote from the Foreword: "... there is more to writing a telegram than most people realize, who merely dash one off, trusting to gosh it will bring results." This copy has the former or original owner's name and address on the front paste down (L'Anse, Mich.). Very good copy in the fragile, thin original glassine "dj," which has short tears. These kind of djs rarely survived. Most collectable! Quite scarce.

Price: $51.50
