Original printing. Very attractive 4to (8" x 11 1/4") decorated & printed pictorial heavy wraps, slightly overlapping text block. Covers are gray, dark gray, orange, & red with raised lettering & raised seal on back. (88pp.). Illus. Six pages of text, including title page. All other pages/leaves are filled with fine lithos & high-quality photos, toned perhaps slightly off b/w, set against color background. Some pages have only one photo; others multiple photos, usually two but sometimes more. Image subjects are various: bird's eye views, department store & other businesses, factories, hotels, churches, railroad depots, public bldgs, resorts, office bldgs, park scenes (such as "Lakeshore Promenade and Juneau Park"), the "Whaleback Steamer 'Christopher Columbus'", etc.. This is simply a remarkable book from just after the turn of the 20th Century. Near fine condition with just a couple of short tears at top/bottom of binding. The binding is glued, not stapled, and is sound. Remarkable condition after nearly 110 years. A rare book, with only a handful of copies showing in world libraries.
