Barlee was publisher and author of the much sought Canada West Magazine, a schoolteacher, and later MP of his riding in BC. He produced a TV series on BC ghost towns and mining camps for CBC. I believe Barlee traveled to all the places he wrote about and researched them professionally. Your bookseller corresponded with Barlee around this time. Fine copy. I have always admired Barlee's choice of paper used in printing, and his choice of stock for his attractive covers.
