Note to buyer: Scribners did not start using the "A" indicating 1st edition until 1930. This copy meets earlier qualifications for1st edition. This copy very good with moderate wear to extremities - boards just showing at points & spine corners. The hinges were professionally repaired & the copy is thus in excellent, tight condition for handling/reading. A reasonably bright copy, but not bright "as new." Scarce.
